Deliver a Hotel-Like Hospital Experience
In a setting where the consumer-patient has little control over many decisions, Allen’s interactive E3 Patient Engagement Platform puts control over comfort decisions in the hands of the patient.
Create happy patients, and reduce your nurses’ non-clinical workload with E3 on your patient room TVs.
Convenience. Control. Communication.
Allen’s E3 Patient Engagement Platform creates a patient-centric environment and help hospitals enhance the patient experience, with a suite of tools designed to make the hospital stay as comfortable and hotel-like as possible.
Through our E3 interactive software, patients can access and enjoy Internet, movies, television and games to stay connected with family, friends or healthcare providers in dispersed locations.
Aside from entertainment, patients can adjust their room temperatures and light settings without leaving their bed, request an endless array of concierge-type services, and provide real-time feedback using intuitive on-screen questionnaires (Daily Check-In Survey™).
Empowered patients are happier patients, and that translates to higher HCAHPS scores for hospitals. Our solutions are proven to help hospitals dramatically improve patient satisfaction, nurse efficiency and the overall patient experience.
E3 Experience Features
Encourage relaxation among your patients as they view movies with favorable language and family appropriate scenes.
The Allen solution supports all major internet and cable providers, bringing your patient’s familiar options, including streaming video and music, social media and browsing functionality.
Use simple-to-use games to provide a diversion from the hospital setting.
Provide patients with a wide variety of television content and formats, over your hospital’s choice of providers. Learn about Allen’s low-cost, customized television services.
Hospital noise, particularly at night, can be more than an annoyance. It can disturb sleep, cause blood pressure to rise, and negatively impact the healing process. With Allen’s QuietSounds™, patients can select soothing, repetitive sounds like Summer Rain, Ocean Waves, Forest Streams or white noise, all in varying lengths. QuietSounds™ helps to decrease environmental noise distractions for a more restful night’s sleep. The soothing sounds are delivered via the bed’s pillow speakers so that patients in semi-private rooms can each listen without bothering another patient.
Bedside Temperature Control
Through Allen Technologies’ Bedside Temperature Control feature, patients can adjust room comfort settings from their bed. Allen E3 also integrates with the hospital’s HVAC system to automatically adjust room temperatures and lighting settings in unoccupied patient rooms, resulting in significant energy savings for the hospital.
- Patients can set their own room temperature and comfort levels, allowing staff to spend more time focused on patient care.
- Patients can adjust their window shades and room lighting from their TV, tablet, or touchscreen.
- Enhanced features put patients in control of their own environment, improving patient satisfaction and reducing falls risks.
Need additional pillows, or blanket? Patients no longer need to call a nurse for routine, non-clinical requests, or wait for housekeeping to make their rounds. With the Allen interactive patient care system, patients can request special items like a rollaway bed or additional linens. Even requests for room or bathroom cleaning can be placed directly to the environmental services team.
Allen’s interactive dining menus let patients view and select meal options from the touchscreen or in-room television —no printed menus or face-to-face orders needed. Patient menus are customized to the patient’s dietary restrictions and limitations. Visitors can order guest meal trays as well.
Communication & Patient Feedback
Immediate and ongoing patient feedback through Allen’s interactive survey tools enables hospitals to identify and resolve patient concerns before they become larger issues. Allen’s site-wide notification feature allows hospitals to quickly push instant messages to all patient and public area televisions. Specialized messaging also can be delivered to specific hospital units.
